The journal of the International Association of Islamic Economics and the Islamic Foundation. It is a refereed Journal and is currently published from the U.K. once a year in English with abstracts in Arabic. It provides a forum to the specialists wishing to contribute to the development of Islamic economics as a distinct branch of knowledge. Major areas of interest for the Journal include: • theoretical issues in economics in the Islamic perspective;
• empirical studies about the economies of Muslim countries;
• applied Islamic economics, e.g. Islamic banking; and
